Name: Throssel, Richard
Historical Note: Between 1909-1911, photographer-at-large for the Indian Service, and focused on the Crow. In 1910, he joined Dr. Shoemaker preparing a series of educational slides on Indian health, which became part of a nationwide federal campaign to fight the spread of tuberculosis and trachoma. They promote healthy lifestyles and caution against sharing utensils and pipes.
