Abstract

This collection includes letters and a map of the Shoshone National Forest. The map of Shoshone National Forest is from 1927 with trapping allotments designations drawn over in red pencil, done in 1930. This map shows who held trapping allotments during 1930 in the Shoshone National Forest, which gives an intresting glimpse into what that aspect of the park looked like.

Scope and Contents of the Materials

The collection includes two letters between the forest supervisor of Shoshone National Forest and the acting superintendent of Yellowstone National Park. These letters outline how the possesion of the map came to Yellowstone National Park. The collection also includes the map of Shoshone National Forest.
