Family papers of Daniel Webster Cole (1863-1958), chief project engineer for the Shoshone Dam (now Buffalo Bill Dam) at Cody, Wyoming.  These 1903-1910 letters and photographs were used by Beryl Churchill to write her 2001 book Challenging the Canyon: A Family Man Builds a Dam.  Included are many photographs of the construction of the dam and much information on Cody local history.
