Abstract

This collection contains a typescript concerning William F. Cody; correspondence between Gen. Charles King  (1844-1933) and Mary Jester Allen, the first director of the Buffalo Bill Museum; clippings; and a map of the Big Horn and Yellowstone Expeditions showing many of the battlefields of the Indian Wars.

Added in 2018, are research materials compiled by Paul Hedren while researching the King family history for his book "Campaigning with King: Charles King, Chronicler of the Old Army".
