Abstract
Collection consists of sound records of American occupational music, mostly from sailors and cowboys. It is held as a means of comparing folk songs and music between regions of the country. Materials and formats include: 41 33rpm record albums, 2 45rpm record albums, 7 compact discs, 28 audio cassettes of Sea Chanteys and Sailors’ Songs, biographical notes on selected performers, Sea Chanteys and Sailors’ Songs selected Bibliography, Addendum; A Teachers Guide: A Sea Chanteys and Sailors’ Songs by Stuart Frank, and 13 sheet music publications of Cowboy related songs.
