Abstract
The collection includes two photographs depicting different historical moments in Yellowstone's history. One of the pictures is of the first automobile tour that took place in Yellowstone in 1915. This moment would change how Yellowstone is toured and seen, even impacting how tourists move through Yellowstone today. The second picture is of an Army pack moving through Yellowstone. This shows Yellowstone in the time before the National Park Service and when the Army ran Yellowstone National Park.
Administrative/Biographical History
The photographs in this collection depict the early years of Yellowstone National Park. The first photograph is of the first automobile tour in Yellowstone Park, which changed the way tourists move around and are able to see the park.
